Horeca Fairs in Lebanon attract thousands of people yearly.

With all these successes in business, I was nervous to meet such an amazing woman and dive deeper into her motherhood journey – which she welcomed with a down-to-earth attitude and warm smile.

How does she do it?

“The secret and most essential ingredient to being successful in the workplace and in motherhood is choosing the right companion, she explained.

“Your husband should be your first supporter and his patience, understanding and help – is what will allow you to overcome the many obstacles, guilt and hard times balancing a career and motherhood will bring.”

Behind every Super Mom there should always be a Super Dad

This important ingredient is sometimes missing in relationships – yet this moral, emotional and physical support from your partner is the most essential ingredient needed for success.

Find your Equilibrium

“To succeed in motherhood, work and in life there is an equilibrium that you should always maintain”.

Each person has their own objectives and should adapt their equilibrium on a day-to-day basis.

There is no standard recipe to follow in motherhood, but micro-managing, planning, and adapting (sometimes day-to-day) to keep your equilibrium stable is essential.

Finding your own equilibrium, that fits your life, is what will empower you to succeed in your professional and personal lives.

How has motherhood changed Joummana in the workplace?

“More empathy with fellow working mothers – understanding that each mother has her own objectives and a balance she needs to maintain to be able to achieve more, not only in the workplace but in her personal life”.

All this contributing the greater success, happiness and team spirit found in the company.

What is your advice to all women?

Joummana’s favorite quote is by the great Gandhi:

Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny

Have a clear vision of what you want your life to be – consistency and planning will help you achieve it.

And most importantly….Believe in yourself
