I have always felt safer in my “comfort zone”. Fresh out of college I started work in a small company that was a family business, that as the years passed gave me a form of safety.
I would get other job offers, but turned them down in the last stages because I was always afraid.
“What if it doesn’t work out?”
“What if I regret it? I got used to everything here, do I have the energy to start fresh?”
“What if I fail?”
In the blink of an eye, 7 and a half years passed! Seriously! How did they pass that quickly!
Then one day I got an amazing opportunity, in a multi-national food chain as a marketing manager and I took it!
Yes it was challenging.
Yes it was hard.
Yes at times I was so scared of failing… but I didn’t…
I spent a 1.5 years in that position. And I swear in the first 6 months I had learnt new things and grew more than I did in the 7 and a half years at my first job.
I moved 2 more positions, each better than the next before i decided to try to make it on my own…
That’s when the real challenge began.
If you have been following my blog and story, my amazing kids and husband have been my main motivation and drive. Their love and support made me work harder to make them proud.
Recently, I started my own new venture, THE SPARKS FACTORY, a small learning center in Hazmieh, Lebanon.
It took me 2 years to take that decision, and I think I needed that time to make a calculated and well studied venture.
We signed the rent contract December 23, 2016.
As you may know, my precious princess left us January 8, 2017…
I thought it was sign that I should give up.
And I almost did… but then I thought back to what was my inspiration and motivation for all I did… “my amazing kids and husband“… Could I let them down now????
It took me 2 months, and on March 1st I finally opened. To be honest I haven’t always found the energy and strength to do everything I had planned for SPARKS FACTORY.
Some days I still find it hard to smile and be positive, but I have a family I need to make proud, so I find that strength… somehow…
But taking it day by day … but I will not give up and I will not stop living.
And you should too!
Look around you. Analyze your life.
Are you doing what you love?
Don’t let your fear of failure keep you from reaching for the stars!
Find the warrior in you… and never give up…
There are little faces that are looking up at you and think you are absolutely amazing… so don’t ever forget that.
GOOD LUCK SUPER MAMAS
